[I searched Google Scholar and the university library database to verify this article by searching the full title. Another method that I used in trying to locate this article is the journal: Journal of Advanced Healthcare Management. I then followed the DOI link provided in the citation. Unfortunately, I could not manage to find any information related to the article in terms of title, authors, or journal. I realized that the DOI that had been provided by the AI generator could not produce a valid source. Therefore, no matching results appeared in credible academic databases. This evidence proves that the AI tool fabricated this reference.

Slide 5: What did you learn from this exercise?
[In this activity, I was involved in understanding how artificial intelligence can be applied in academic research. I also wanted to understand how information can be verified before using it in scholarly work. I had known that AI tools are very reliable in conducting the search for sources used for generating academic content. I had also known that these tools can be used to obtain citations and summaries. However, this exercise enabled me to develop a new perspective about this idea. For instance, I discovered that while AI can produce information that appears accurate and credible. However, I realized that these tools can lead to the generation of fabricated or “hallucinated” references. These are reference that cannot be in real academic databases. As such, I realized that is important to be careful in using information from AI tools by counter-checking AI-generated information.
Tools such as Google Scholar and academic library databases can be used to verify each citation. As a result, this enabled me to develop essential practical research skills for academic success. This compelled me to learn how to cross-check article information such titles, authors, journal names, and DOIs. Therefore, I could easily confirm the legitimacy of every source. This process was useful because it helped me to improve my ability to distinguish between difference types of sources. For instance, I could comfortably distinguish credible, peer-reviewed sources and unreliable sources. The process also helped me to better appreciate the value of evidence-based practice. Healthcare leadership is one of the common contexts that uses this approach owing to the accurate research associated with decision-making. In my declaration, I plan to practice the responsible use of AI tools to complete my academic work. I will benefit by brainstorming of ideas and generation of research questions by utilizing these tools. They will also enable me to develop my work. Before including references in my work, I must ensure that they are properly verified through credible academic sources. Through this experience, I have been able to practice the awareness of academic integrity and implement the ethical use of technology in education.
